Keywords:Ian Connor Consulting Limited is a new consultancy, based in Christchurch. We specialise in the planning, design and construction management of cold storage and food processing facilities, building on the 38 years’ continuous experience our senior personnel have had in those areas.
Connor Consulting have the capability to do layout planning, civil & structural engineering, specification, detailing, tendering and construction management, and trouble-shooting in the cold storage and food industry. In our two year’s operation, we have been or are the lead planning and design consultants on several large food processing or cold storage projects for the companies listed below. We are specialists in the planning and design of cold storage and food processing facilities, particularly the integration of food processing, hygiene and NZFSA requirements into cold environment analysis and design. Amongst our clients are many of the major food processing companies in New Zealand including Alliance Group, Americold, ANZCO, Apollo Projects, Cold Storage Nelson, ENZA, Goodman Fielder, Fletcher Building, Fonterra, Icepak Group, Heinz Watties, Silver Fern Farms, Tegel Foods, Tip Top, Whakatu Cold Stores.
Being based in Christchurch, we are also heavily involved in earthquake damage assessment, building structure evaluation / DEEs, earthquake repair and new building design as part of the earthquake recovery.
We have seven permanent staff, and three contract staff we use as required to ensure we have capacity to undertake significant projects. We maintain contacts in the industry to be able to assist in providing additional resources and disciplines often needed on our projects – fire, electrical, refrigeration, ventilation, mechanical, geotechnical.
