We have a large number of single and double kayak types available for hire from the kayak base at Matiatia. Including fishing kayaks.
Most popular are our Sit on top style with comfortable padded (Single and double kayaks) swim or snorkel from the kayak and find your own piece of paradise not for from our Kayak base. They are safe and easy to use. Recommended for 1 - 2 hours paddling in and around Matiatia Harbour or just outside along the coast.
Self Guided kayaking with Sit on Top Kayaks / includes lesson trip briefing drybag and safety equipment.
Sea kayaks
We have a variety of Sea kayaking single and double kayaks. Light weight singles kevlar and plastic. Day boats and expedition doubles. These can be hired to a minimum of 2 people for safety reasons. They are available to those with Sea kayaking experience only. Hire Rates are dependant on trip plan. Our guided trips are recommended for first time paddlers and all those that value the additional insight of our experience along Waiheke's coastline. |
